Dansk Lydisolering places great emphasis on responsibility, working environment and work that is done with quality. We always choose our new employees and subcontractors with care, so that you as a customer are always safe when you work with us.
Below you can read more about the safety measures we take when we are out and about doing work for both private and business customers.
For safety reasons, we only use angle grinders that have a KickBack-Stop
For safety reasons, our employees always use gloves when working with hobby knives.
Danish Soundproofing's policy is that all tools must be used with care and caution. All personnel go through a thorough review of high-risk tools before using them.
Dansk Lydisolering has so far had no recorded injuries while carrying out tasks. Should an injury occur, the injury will be registered and a future action plan will be executed to avoid future injuries.
There is also first aid equipment installed in all cars.
There may be tasks where it is necessary to carry out soundproofing work with tools that produce high heat. For example. angle grinder that produces a lot of sparks. Therefore, we have implemented special rules when carrying out hot work.
Education requirements
All our employees who perform hot work in the form of spark-producing working environments have undergone a course for "hot work".
The course they have gone through is called "Course regarding spark-producing tasks" and the course is renewed every 4 years.
The certificate is valid in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
Fire fighting equipment
Dansk Lydisolering makes sure to bring the necessary extinguishing equipment in accordance with the Danish Fire and Security Institute's guide 10, parts 1, 2 and 3, when "hot work" is carried out on a task.
Fire watch
For some tasks, it may be necessary to establish a fire watch when the workplace cannot be adequately secured and there is a risk of fire. This assessment is carried out from time to time.
Any fire watch may not have work functions at the same time as the fire watch function; The fire watch must also be maintained during lunch breaks etc.
For tasks where a fire watch is required, this must have access to the necessary extinguishing material.
At Dansk Lydisolering it is important that the necessary safety measures are taken when it comes to personal safety equipment. Therefore, our employees always have:
Safety footwear (EN 345), which must be firm.
In areas where there is a risk of loose objects falling, a safety helmet must be used (EN 397)
In areas where there is a risk of damaging the eyes, safety glasses must be used (EN 166)
Work clothes that are safe for the required task. Among other things. for cutting tasks, long work trousers must be worn. With a customer, we follow the applicable rules there.
For tasks with a risk of falling into the water, life jackets (EN ISO 12402-275 KN) are used and for tasks where the water temperature is below a locally set temperature limit, a life jacket is used for work. (SOLAS regulations/EN ISO 15927.
Other necessary safety equipment is applied if necessary for tasks that require this. This assessment is made from task to task.
Dansk Lydisolering has prepared these safety measures to avoid any accidents.
Dansk Lydisolering always focuses on risk assessment of the individual work task and supervision. This is done to always achieve the most optimal security.
All tasks must therefore go through an assessment of the risk level before starting. If the risk assessment shows that tasks contain high-risk elements, a more thorough risk assessment must be prepared. This can be through the template "Safe Job Analysis".
The safety assessment containing the "Safe Job Analysis" before start-up is always sent to the customer for approval.
For tasks with low-risk elements, a Toolbox Talk will be carried out, where the employees are informed about the safety and scope of the task.
Oversight
Dansk Lydisolering ensures continuous supervision of the task being carried out properly within the safety measures required by the task.
In order to avoid possible accidents when working at heights, Dansk Sound Insulation ensures that underlying levels where there is a risk of falling objects are cordoned off. At the same time, a fuse must be made with mains electricity. Similar below the relevant level where the work is carried out. Tools and other loose objects must be secured against falling both before, during and after use. As a starting point, this could consist of a tool belt.
When working at height, 2 of these 3 possible barriers must always be active.
Dansk Lydisolering always prioritizes safety above all else. Up to now we have no registered occupational accidents and it is our aim to continue this using all our safety measures.
As a supplier of sound insulation for tasks both large and small, it is important for us to always carry out a risk assessment before starting a task.
The task is received and an analysis of the scope of the task is initiated.
During the analysis of the task, an assessment is made of whether the task is a low-risk task or a high-risk task.
When assessing low-risk tasks, safety can be managed at Toolbox Talk, where employees are briefed on the scope and safety of the task.
When assessing high-risk tasks, a "Safe Job Analysis" is carried out before the work begins.
For all tasks, there is continuous supervision of safety during the execution of the task.
Employees are always provided with an updated APV that suits the individual tasks.
Employees are always provided with an updated APB, which is reviewed each time new products are received.
As a starting point, the employees employed have fixed working hours that comply with the 11-hour, 48- and 6-day rules regarding rest time on tasks. The employee must systematically enter the number of working hours in a form that is continuously reviewed by the employer.
There is a material folder for hand tools and mechanical/electronic aids, which contains descriptions of how to use the tool safely. As well as the date of the product's age, so that products become obsolete. Defective products will be immediately quarantined. At the same time, all employees have gone through an introduction to each individual product before using them.
When hiring employees, it is always checked whether the given employee has the necessary qualifications to carry out the scope of the tasks. If necessary, Dansk Sound Insulation provides the necessary further training.
Before the start of the task, all employees are briefed on safety regarding the execution of the task, and are included in the "Safe Job Analysis" if this is available for the task.
Dansk Lydisolering always ensures that floors in the work area are covered where it is deemed necessary.
Dansk Lydisolering always makes sure to continuously clear and remove its own construction waste.
With possible subcontractors, Dansk Lydisolering always makes sure to inform them about the safety and process surrounding the task, so that they are as well informed about the task as their own employees.
